 Your criminal offense is not your defining moment, but rather an opportunity for personal transformation. Following an arrest, often times people are in disbelief that their actions catapulted them into the world of the criminal justice system. Clients report that the system can be overwhelming and that they experience increased levels of distress trying to figure out how to get back control of their lives. It is also typical for individuals to struggle with feelings of shame, self-blame and guilt. These powerful emotions can cause individuals to seek escape and comfort in destructive behaviors. Dynamic Pathways, LCSW, PLLC is committed to supporting each individual process their experiences, navigate the criminal justice system with a focus on successfully meeting mandates and move forward with their lives in a way that feels meaningful and fulfilling.

 

SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT

 Many of the clients we work with report experiencing episodes of anxiety and depression following their arrest and subsequent involvement in the criminal justice system. Some individuals report that they feel traumatized on some level by the events related to the offense (ie motor vehicle accident) and or the arrest and processing procedures. Clinicians assess each individual for trauma exposure and subsequent trauma related responses. Clinicians help clients to recognize how traumatic experiences impact physical and emotional functioning and support them in learning vital techniques to decrease troubling symptoms, enhance skillful behaviors and overall emotional wellbeing.
